Editorial policy
Western Public Journal aims to make public life easier to understand without overstating what an article can establish. We write for readers who value clear explanations, careful distinctions and visible corrections.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual statements against suitable material available to us and take care to distinguish established information from interpretation. We explain relevant terms, avoid presenting examples as universal rules and state uncertainty where it matters. We do not claim to have carried out research, interviews or testing unless the article says so and that work was actually done.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for the reader's understanding, not to favour a political party, institution, company or contributor. A pitch, partnership or commercial relationship does not guarantee coverage or a particular conclusion. We will not knowingly let a partner determine an independent editorial judgement.
Corrections
If you believe an article contains an error, contact us through the Contact page and identify the relevant wording and the reason for concern. We review correction requests and update material when a change is warranted. Where a substantive correction is made, we aim to make the change and its nature clear to readers.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid placements and partner-created material are identified clearly as such and kept distinct from independent editorial coverage. We do not present a paid placement as an editorial endorsement. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; when an illustration is AI-generated, we label it accordingly. Illustrations are not evidence for factual claims.
